Racism runs rampant on the internet.  It doesn’t matter what game, what function, what area.  You’ll find racism in even neopets and Habbo hotel if you keep an eye out.

it’s not that the internet promotes, allows, or has any tie to racism.  People are racist as fuck. that’s the bottom line.  Whether it’s a terrible sense of humor or meant sincerely racism is everywhere, video games are just another media that it comes out and is established.

Please, if you’re going to start a dialogue about racism in video games talk about what the games themselves have any control over.  Talk about how the orcs and their removal from slavery under the humans represents slavery and it’s unfair and wrong status, not how some 14 year old kid in arizona is a racist fuck,
